Dua for Pardon and Well Being

Transliteration:- Allahumma inni asbahtu minka fi ni’matin wa ‘afiyatin wa sitrin, fa atmim ni’mataka ‘alayya wa ‘afiyataka wa sitraka fid-dunya wal-akhirah.

 

Dua in Arabic:-

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ مِنْكَ فِي نِعْمَةٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ وَسِتْرٍ، فَأَتِمَّ نِعْمَتَكَ عَلَيَّ وَعَافِيَتَكَ وَسِتْرَكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ

 

Translation:- O Allah, I have entered this morning by Your grace, well-being, and protection. So complete Your blessings upon me, Your well-being, and Your protection in this world and the Hereafter.

 

Hadith Reference:

This dua is authentically reported in:

  • Musnad Ahmad (5/42)

  • Sunan Ibn Majah (3871)

  • Graded as hasan (good) by Al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’ (4771)

Recommended Time:

  • To be recited every morning after Fajr prayer

The Prophet (ﷺ) emphasized morning and evening adhkar as protection for believers. This particular dua beautifully combines:

  • Thankfulness (shukr)

  • Recognition of blessings (ni’ma)

  • Request for preservation (‘afiya)

  • Seeking divine covering (sitir)
